Top 4 Bathroom Trends for 2014

Top 4 Trends for Tile:

Now that spring is here, and many remodels are under way, I thought it would be great to look at some of the wonderful materials on the market. These will absolutely be more unique then you will find in your average remodel. I’ve pulled together a list of 4 tile and 4 plumbing ideas that will surely turn heads!

1. Matte Tiles
Matte tiles are a great alternative to high-gloss, and work great on the floor or wall. Matte tiles create a clean and modern look and are even more resistant to scratching than traditional glazed tiles. These tiles are great for bathrooms because they are more slip-resistant than those with a high-gloss or glazed finish.

2. 3-Dimensional Tiles
2 Dimensional tiles are so 2013! This year will see an increase in the use of 3D tiles to add texture and interest! These can be used on a feature wall in the shower or behind a vanity. Creating patterns with these tiles using different colors will give this look even more texture and dimension.

3. Reflective Tiles
These shiny reflective tiles make a huge statement and are becoming increasingly popular for high-end bathrooms. Since these tiles are so high-impact, it is important to balance them with other finishes, for example, wood or painted cabinetry, natural stone or other non-reflective tiles.
